The primary objective of an English teacher working with high school learners is to stimulate older teens to make friends abroad and get acquainted with the lives of their foreign peers.

Consistent and systematic work on the development of speaking, socio-cultural and linguistic skills as well as foreign language communication skills are another two goals.

Finally, systematized linguistic and socio-cultural knowledge is encouraged for solving communicative tasks in different situations of intercultural communication. In class, learners are offered the tasks on collecting, processing and using cultural information.

Much attention is devoted to the approximalization of the learner’s spiritual development with the development of 21st-century skills. That is bringing the formation of holistic worldviews and universal values to the level of communicating, cooperative, creative and critical thinking skills.
