Caring for Posture: Healthy Development Starts in Childhood
Proper posture is essential for a child’s healthy development, endurance, concentration, and overall well-being.
As part of the annual preventive health screening at Biotechnological Lyceum "Radowell", students underwent a comprehensive assessment of the musculoskeletal system using the modern and safe DIERS technology, which provides highly accurate results without exposure to X-rays.
It is important to remember that most postural and foot disorders do not cause pain or restrict movement in their early stages. However, they can already lead to improper compensatory mechanisms within the body. That is why prevention and early correction are the most effective approaches.
The following practices help maintain and improve musculoskeletal health:
- regular physical activity and therapeutic exercise
- myofascial release (MFR) to reduce muscle tension
- exercises on monkey bars, dancing, and active games
- developing a habit of movement throughout the school day
We sincerely thank Tetiana Anatoliivna Samsonovych, physician and therapist at the Radovel Medical Center, for the informative lecture, as well as our teachers for their active participation in the discussion and their daily work with students.
Together, we are building a culture of health and well-being.
