Modern social life and further professional education are impossible without certain mathematical skills in hand. That is why, getting practical skills is of foremost importance in the course. Learners are taught to assess the chances of certain events’ occurrence, work with formulas, design, etc. In addition, the applied orientation of mathematical education in our Lyceum is enhanced by the use of computers and a multimedia panel. Equally important are interdisciplinary connections, in particular with classes in Physics, Astronomy, Computer Science and English. Practice-oriented learning coupled with non-standard teaching methods help motivate our senior pupils and thus ensure efficient mathematical knowledge and skills.
