Poetical battles between the classics of poetry, surprisingly interesting facts from the life of our famed literary figures whose images seemed to be forever fossilized, theatrical productions, discussions about the most gingery ethical issues, movie versions of outstanding literary works with subsequent discussion, learners playing roles of writers and critics and much more – this is what Ukrainian literature lessons are like at our Lyceum. We are persistently working on making the life of our students, born in the age of gadgets, hardly imaginable without a book in hand. We teach them to love to read and to learn how to read – because Ukrainian literature is actually interesting and cool! In class, we promote intellectual development and fine aesthetic taste; music and art, history and philosophy, psychology and even physiognomy assist us.
