Every day we face a choice: to step into the unknown or to stay where we are. Moving forward often seems difficult, and the goal may feel out of reach. But these thoughts are driven by fear — and that is why determination is essential.

Only by moving forward and conquering real-world peaks do we strengthen the structure of our личности. Overcoming fatigue, thirst, wind, sun, cold, and altitude, we learn to act, make decisions, and be part of a team.

From September 21 to 25, 11th-grade boys, together with their class teacher Maksym Lozko, completed an educational hiking trip to the Svydovets mountain range.

The route ran from the village of Yasinia to the village of Kvasy in the Rakhiv district (Zakarpattia region).

The students reached several peaks — Stih (1704 m), Zhandarm (1763 m), Velyka Blyznytsia (1881 m), and Blyznytsia (1872 m). It wasn’t easy, but the views were worth every step.

They also descended to high-mountain glacial lakes — Vorozheska (1460 m), Hereshaska (1577 m), and Apshynets (1487 m). These lakes are natural landmarks of Earth’s history, formed thousands of years ago by massive glacial movements.

The group spent their first night near Lake Hereshaska and the second at the foot of Mount Velyka Blyznytsia. Campsites were chosen together — safe and with breathtaking views. The sunrises will remain unforgettable: one by crystal-clear water, the other above the clouds.

They prepared food on a portable stove and made compote from local berries. During breaks, they spoke with tourists and local residents, sharing stories about our Lyceum. They encountered a Carpathian viper, lizards, frogs, and birds, and explored mountain plants — a living lesson in both biology and geography.

The total distance covered this time — 50 km through the mountains!

In July, the boys had already completed a 60 km route from Lazeshchyna to Vorokhta, reaching Hoverla (2061 m) and Shpytsi (1863 m). Altogether — 110 km in the mountains!

Well done! When you consciously put in effort, you build inner resilience — a state in which you become resistant to weakness and ready to face any conditions.
