Shevchenko's days

Депутати обласної та районної рад завітали до БТЛ Радовель
Radio dictation was one of the events. Students of grades 5-11 wrote it on March 7 in the first lesson.
Throughout the days, high school students clearly recited the poems of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko.
In addition, an interesting and informative meeting was held in the library for the elementary school.

Librarian Valentyna Mykolaivna reported interesting facts from the life of Taras Shevchenko:
• He was short, 164 cm tall
• His favorite dish, as friends remember, was borscht with dried crucian carp, fresh cabbage and spices
• During his lifetime, he was more appreciated as an artist than as a poet
• He always dressed quite stylishly and fashionably, as he earned well in St. Petersburg as a successful portraitist
• The smallest edition of "Kobzar" in the world is the size of a poppy seed, the pages of which are turned with the help of a sharpened hair

By the way, in our library there is a small "Kobzar" edition of 1878, in the Ukrainian language according to the so-called "drahomanivka" spelling.
