On the 2-3 of August, the International Conference on Democratic Education IDEC & EUDEC 2019 was held in Kyiv, which the team from the Biotechnological Lyceum "Radovel" participated in too.

Among the speakers of the conference are: the founder of the network of democratic schools and IDEC conferences Yakov Gecht, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Liliya Grinevich, grandson of the creator of the legendary Summerhill Democratic School, its executive director and music teacher Henry Redhead, President of the International Center for Humane Pedagogy Paata Amonashvili and others.

According to Y. Gecht, "the essence of democratic education is to show the talent in every child." Mykhaylo Veselskyy, founder and philanthropist of the “Radovel” project, adds "it is very desirable for this to become the essence of all education - to show the talent and create the necessary conditions for its development." This is the basis of the Lyceum's concept.
